FLARE Street Art Festival is a pilot event with a vision to develop longer term plans in collaboration with the City, local businesses and local artists.

It creates new public art pieces to drive visitation into the city, as well as maintaining year-round visitation appeal as people come to explore what’s new each year.

FLARE is specifically focused on driving visitation into the centre of the city with the event taking place during normal business hours for the purpose of supporting local Christchurch businesses.
